“Merry Christmas! Free taho!”
It only required a bond paper and a blue ink pen to announce the good news.
Being a longtime taho vendor, a simple man changed the perspective that only rich men can give back this Christmas.
Standing on one of his usual spots in Alorica, Cubao, he said while smiling, “Free taho po mga Ma’am and Sir.”
This invitation was enough for the tired call center agents to flock him to have a taste of his gift.
The moment was shared by Facebook user Ap John Dee Malhin Maape in the Facebook page Buhay Call Center Agent and it attracted a large throng of appreciation since then.
Apparently, the vendor is giving back to his patron from the blessings he received.
As soon as the story was posted online, many also shared their good experiences with the good-hearted taho vendor.
Some of the comments are only apprecation for him.
One said, “Sobrang nagteary-eye naman ako. May God bless you more Kuya. Sobrang bihira ang mga taong nakakaalala to give back sa mga taong nakatulong sa nagdaang taon.”
Many shared the photos so others can emulate the good example.
Another commented, “I agree, we need to feature mga taong walang wala pero nagsho-share. Sila yong mga taong di madamot at siyang mapagbigay. Marunong tumanaw ng utang na loob sa mga suki nyang sumuporta sa taho business niyo. Hands down ako kay kuya.”
Indeed, Christmas is not just a season of holidays and commercial sales mark-down.
Instead, it is a season to give back and to share love.
