After sharing a significant time together, Aiko Melendez admitted that she is happy for the pregnancy news of former husband Jomari Yllana’s partner Joy Reyes.
The news came just recently and everyone was thrilled including Aiko, who was Jomari’s longtime partner.
Their wedding came to an end some years back when it was annulled.
But today, the former couple seemed to be happy and contented with their own lives.
Aiko said, “I am happy to both of them. A baby is always a blessing. Kaya walang problema on my part yan. Masaya ako para sa kanila.”
Jomari’s social media account is a testimony of their strong relationship and it is evident that they want to establish a happy family.
Apparently, the couple tried to conceive for months but it wasn’t easy for Joy since she have histories of miscarriages.
So the recent news came as a surprise, and a sigh of relief, to the couple and to those who knew them.
And in an interview, she shared their experiences in trying to have a baby.
“October last year, we lost our first baby. He named her Angel. Super devastated kami that time. For several months, I’ve been so depressed. Yung tipong pag lumalabas kami and we saw a baby, I would suddenly burst into tears. Ganun kalala. But Dada had been very supportive and caring naman kaya I was able to get through that,” said Joy.
She then added that even Aiko’ son with Jomari, Andre, was sad because of her miscarriage.
Even Andre felt so bad when we lost the baby. He keeps on asking me, ‘Tita, meron na ba ulit? Meron na ba ulit?’ Kaya nga super excited kami when I got pregnant last May. Andre, during the birthday party of Ryan [Yllana, Jomari’s brother], learned about the baby and he was so hyper happy. But then, after being so upset about something, I bled,” she shared.
This early, they have named their child already.
Joy said, “Dada named her Sophia. My sadness was cut short because Dada had been very eager to ask for a professional help na on our quest to conceive. So, super nabuhayan ako ng loob. Then, a few months ago, we decided to just let God take over. Sabi namin, nakakapagod yung full effort kayo, tapos every month hoping kayo, then wala naman. So, napagkasunduan namin to offer na lang to God. We will be ready pag binigay na sa amin… in God’s time. Kaya nga super ecstatic kami with this baby, kasi hindi namin siya sinadya talaga. So, we believe, heaven sent.”
On the latter part of the interview, Aiko cleared the issues circulating about her alleged suing of Jomari.
She declared, “Well, no truth po sa rumor that I will sue Jomari. I cleared this already. Annulled na kami ni Jom long time ago pa. So, walang problema, di ba? There is no basis why I want to sue him. Nakakatawa ‘yan.”
Well, tis’ the season of love really.
