Indeed, dreams are made to be achieved, not just to be written.

Though some dreams appear to be ridiculous and too-good-to-be-true, if the bearer of those dreams has the bravery and the passion to make it a reality will definitely make eb successful.

That is the summary of the inspiring success story of real-life superwoman Wynona Pauline Catapang.

During her youth, she set a dream so high that she often received negative comment and ridicule.

But she paid definitely no attention to those remarks which brings her down.

Her experience showed that she receives countless negative comments from those who don’t know about her incredible feat.

And much to their surprise was her latest, lengthy Facebook post just after her graduation.

She started her post with the criticism she received during her undergraduate years.

“Ay bobo 5 years na sa college. Wala ka pang napapatunayan. Masyadong ambisyosa,” her opening remark reads.

She then looked back at the hardships and problems she experienced when she is making both ends meet just to pass all of her subjects.

“5 years. 5 years of hardships, stress, and tears. I remembered the days na nagkasabay ang thesis ng psych at masscom. Psych classes sa morning, production sa hapon hanggang gabi. Thesis pagkauwi. Shoot sa mga delikadong lugar while writing Psychological report. Thesis defense sa Masscom tapos thesis proposal naman sa Psych. Di magkanda ugaga every first day of sem kasi laging overlapping yung subjects sa given sched. Pabalik balik kay Dean at sa Reg para lang maayos yung sched. Different faces for every subject. Haha. Parang irreg ang peg. Laging nahuhuli sa mga announcement kasi wala sariling classrep. Kapagod,”Wynona recounted.

She also shared that she experienced some dark times when she questioned the validity, and possibility, of her ambitions.

She stated, “Then I was then questioning myself, worth it pa ba lahat? I was about to give up and drop my other course. It was so hard to maintain a cut-off grade especially that both of my courses have quota grade of B minus. Ang taas beshie. Both courses pa. There was a time na na-on probation na ko kasi naleleft behind ko na yung isang course. Tapos this Feb, I was so stressed sa thesis because of the deadline tapos my lola died pa.”

But she soldiered on and went from impossibility to reality.

Her post continued, “But then I guess God took me to this path and I had to deal with it. Kahit sabi ng iba wala pa kong napapatunayan sa mundo, na ambisyosa ako, I believe this would have been my greatest achievement in life as of now—to receive three degrees at the age of 21.”

She then concluded with a hard blow when she capped it with her full name and degrees attained:

Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication minor in Development Communication

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

Bachelor of Arts in Guidance and Counseling

Well, all we could do now is to give our salutes and hats off to our real superwoman.

And to those who laughed at her during her undergraduate years, look who’s laughing now.
