After opting not to advance last showing of the Asia’s Got Talent Season 1 due to academic undertakings, Pinoy phenomenal beat boxer Neil Ray Llanes from Davao City is making it big in the regional festival of talents.
Making a name for himself after his audition went viral, Llanes is now a few steps away from the coveted 100,000 US Dollars at stake from the competition.
Llanes participated in the first staging of the reality talent where he gained four yeses from the judges to advance to the next phase but opted out because of scholastic matters.
And this year, he is making a huge comeback.
Dubbed as the “Human Beatbox” he is known for perfecting simultaneous beats with different rhythms and pitches.
His first audition saw him create a perfect harmony using six different beats.
However in his semi-final performance, he is as fiery red as his jacket when he dropped a hefty seven simultaneous beats to create one perfect symphony.
And as part of the competitions guidelines, he is voted by netizens to advance to the grand finals of the talent show.
He will be representing the Philippines in the final round.
When asked about what happened with his first showing in the competition he said, ‘I decided to drop the chance for the first season, finish first my studies, and audition again for the next season.”
