Days after a controversial post of Kapuso comedian and TV host Joey de Leon allegedly pertaining to Hashtag Franco Hernandez, fellow member Paulo Angeles recently said that he is ready to face de Leon if ever they cross paths.
It can be remembered that de Leon drew flak from netizens and celebrities alike after he posted a picture of him while on Dead Sea with a somewhat issue-provoking caption, “Nuknukan ka ng katangahan kapag sa DEAD SEA nalunod ka pa.”
De Leon posted the photo the very exact date their rival noontime show It’s Showtime offered an emotional tribute to Franco who is one of their talents and mainstays in the show.
Franco died in drowning while in a vacation with his girlfriend and friend south of the Philippines.
After this post, de Leon received numerous negative comments and tweets including Paulo’s which reads, “Tanda mo na bastos ka pa. Wala akong pake kahit sikat ka. Mga joke mo wala sa lugar. Sobrang bastos mo”
Paulo recently said that he made that remark because he was inspired by anger and grief at that time.
“Nasaktan ako kaya nagawa ko yun,” he said.
But he is ready now to ask for apology from the veteran comedian who, ironically, is his idol together with Vic Sotto.
“Oo naman, lahat naman ng problema dapat inaayos, e,” he responded.
“Parang naglabas ka lang ng sama ng loob. Pamilya nga, di ba, minsan nag-aaway, e,” Paulo continued.
Paulo also gave a positive feedback when he was asked by showbiz website PEP.ph on whether or not he will accept an offer to co-star with Joey someday.
“Sa trabaho naman natin, hindi mo naman puwede sabihin na ayaw mong katrabaho yung isang artista dahil may sama ka ng loob. Hindi naman tayo yung mamimili kung sino yung gusto natin katrabaho,” he explained.
He then ended his statement by saying, “Kung ako, go lang. Kung anuman ang naging mali ko, accepted ko yun. Lalaki ako, nagkamali ako.”
